
We were honored to be invited to a meeting at the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of Blitar Regency
Following our participation in the prestigious 21st All Indonesia Koi Show, the two APKI Judges from the Netherlands capped off their visit to Indonesia with a significant agenda.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, we participated in an audience with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of the Blitar Regency. This meeting was accompanied by representatives from the APKI Central Management, the Blitar Koi Club management, and was later followed by a visit to the Department of Food Security and Agriculture in Blitar City.
Some of the key discussion points we addressed were:
- The Potential of Blitar Raya Koi Fish:** Exploring the region’s capacity for koi fish cultivation.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives:
- Discussing support mechanisms to enhance the quality of koi fish products.
- Marketing Facilitation:
- Identifying ways to promote koi fish through events like the Koi Show.
- European Market Awareness:
- Addressing concerns about the status of Indonesian koi fish in Europe.
The Dutch Judges, who also represent APKI in Europe, pledged to disseminate accurate and positive information about Indonesian koi fish internationally.

After the meeting there were several visits planned to Local Koi Farms
During their stay, the Dutch Judges visited several renowned koi farms in the Blitar area, including:
- Blitar Raya Koi
- Agung Koi Farm
- Astro Koi
- Kaisar Koi
- Mitro Koi Farm, among others.
The collective efforts of these farms and organizations play a vital role in strengthening Blitar’s reputation as a hub for premium koi fish.
